RICARDO LEMVO MAKINA LOCA bring their AfroCuban Beats to the 2019 Marin Summer Nights Music Serie San Rafael Saturday Jul 20 7:00pm       $23 members / $26 public / $32 day of (all adults)

RICARDO LEMVO MAKINA LOCA bring their AfroCuban Beats to the 2019 Marin Summer Nights Music Serie

Event starts in

04 Days 21 Hours 15 Minutes

The 27th Annual Summer Nights Series of live music, food, cocktails, dancing, and fun for everyone under beautiful Marin skies continues with the return of a Marin favorite: Afro Cuban beats from Ricardo Lemvo & Makina Loca. Having established himself as a multi-cultural music pioneer, Ricardo is the embodiment of the Afro-Latin Diaspora, connecting back to Mother Africa via the Cuban clave rhythm. He is equally at home singing in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Lingala and Kikongo. Since forming his Los Angeles-based band Makina Loca in 1990, Lemvo has refined his craft and vision, raising his joyous voice with strength, singing songs that celebrate life, and most importantly, inspiring his audiences to let loose and dance away their worries. Bright horns, fat bass lines, amazing percussion and melodies that linger for days - be prepared for a street party that you’ll have to dance through! Salsa Marin partners with us for this event and will be providing pre-concert salsa dance instruction. Pop up Restaurant with dinners, Peets coffee + snacks available on-site for purchase or bring a picnic. Full Bar. Kid Zone with playground & hands on project. Festival shopping made possible by Good Will Industries. The venue offers pop-up restaurant dinners, Peets coffee and snacks cocktails and more available for purchase. DANNY CLICK The Hell Yeahs Rock the 2019 Marin Summer Nights Music Series

Event starts in

11 Days 21 Hours 15 Minutes

Danny Click and the Hell Yeahs! perform for The 27th Annual Summer Nights Series of live music, food, cocktails, dancing, and fun for all ages on July 27, 2019. Danny brings his all original Americana Rock n Roll with hard driving guitar for a night of music “destined for a good time” as he and his 6 piece band lean heavy on the faster tunes for an evening of dancing under the stars. Click, a well-respected musician’s musician, was one of Austin’s best-kept secrets until his CD, Life Is A Good Place, was released in April, 2011 and spent more than 12 consecutive months on the Country, pop, and Americana radio charts. A lot has changed since then including Click, moving to the Bay Area building a large and passionate local fan base including musical greats Carlos Santana and Elvin Bishop, who have both joined him on stage for impromptu jams. The Hell Yeahs feature a round-robin roster of top-shelf musicians and with Danny at the lead, have played more than 200 sold-out shows over the past two years, and opened for legends Taj Mahal, Cake, Robert Plant, Mavis Staples, Sonny Landreth and JJ Cale. So get ready, for an anything-can-happen mix of stellar songwriting alternating with blistering blues-rockin’ Americana in the tradition of the Texas greats. A refreshing return to smart, sassy blues-inflected country rock. Think Tom Petty crossed with Wilco, spiced with the southern tradition of Lucinda Williams and John Hiatt.
